Martin Eder (AUT)
Martin is Director of Innovation Management at Kapsch TrafficCom Group. Kapsch TrafficCom is an international supplier of innovative road traffic telematics systems, products and services. Its principle business is the development and supply of electronic toll collection (ETC) systems. Kapsch TrafficCom is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, and has subsidiaries and representative offices in 18 countries.
Martin’s responsibilities within Kapsch TrafficCom span from Front End Management of ideas, creative business modeling and the management of new or disruptive technologies to organizational and cultural aspects of the implementation of methods and tools for the management of new product-, systems or business model development.
He is Member of the Innovation Task Force of the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV) Vienna Head of the Energy, Traffic and Transportation Workgroup of the IV Vienna Innovation Task force The Federation of Austrian Industries (Industriellenvereinigung - IV), currently consists of about 3,500 members and is a voluntary body representing the interests of Austrian industries. Its central goal is to advocate for its members both in Austria and at the European level in a targeted and sustainable manner. “Performance and Responsibility” - this is the Federation’s motto in its efforts to promote an environment of growth, employment and prosperity in Austria and in Europe.
The Federation of Austrian Industries is run by senior executives serving on a voluntary basis and by a lean staff. Its structure comprises nine independent regional groups, a central organization at the federal level and the European office in Brussels, established already back in 1988.

Martin holds degrees in Economics & Social Sciences (Mag. rer. soc. oec.) from Vienna University of Economics and Business and Applied Sciences & Engineering (M.Sc. E.E.) from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Martin is also a member and speaker of the Platform for Innovation Management, member of the New York Academy of Science, a member of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and speaker at various lectures, seminars and classes.
Experience
Prior to joining Kapsch, Martin headed a research and development group in the area of video processing and pattern
recognition for 4 years. He also has a 12 year history in several Sales, Marketing and Business Development positions
within multinational organizations in the Information-, Communication- and Telecom Industry.
