Karl Schiller (AUT)

Karl Schiller is Head of the Department of Hightech Funding of aws, the Austrian Promotional Bank. He joined aws in 2002 and has been in charge of the Seedfinancing Program for High Tech Startups since 2006.

Prior to joining aws he gained professional experience in various High Tech Companies.

He holds a Master degree in Economics and Social Sciences and a degree in Electronics from a technical highschool.

Karl Schiller also serves as CEO of „uni venture Beteiligungs AG“ an Austrian VC (vintage 2000) which has a focus on University Spin Offs.

In his spare time he plays Basketball and - rarely – goes sailing.
