Hermann is CEO of Compass-Verlag GmbH. The company – founded in 1867 – is the local leader of business information services and provides company information to all the major service companies in Austria. Being with Compass for 25 years Hermann built up several ventures in Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia and Poland between 1988 and 1993. Subsequently the company was oriented towards the Internet, skipping printed products after 133 years in the year 2000. Lately he and his brother/Co-CEO Nikolaus got involved in the Austrian startup scene, trying to be a hands-on partner for young entrepreneurs.
